Work

These pictures are two weeks old. (I am a little behind on posting because of October Beach.) However, I had to post them. I think they show what awesome personalities my son and nephew have - and if you know both of these boys, I think you will enjoy seeing them.

A couple of weeks ago, Papa decided to take a day off from work and head out to Hoschton. He's got the hunting itch and wanted to work on his new camper. Lane and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to visit with the family, so we tagged along.

Plus, Lane loves to "work" alongside his papa. We've figured out he's a great leader and instructor. (Go figure. Have you met some of the men in his life? He likes to work. He likes to be in charge.)

Although I really didn't want to hang out in the dirty yard watching my brother, husband and child mess around with the camper, I didn't have much of a choice. Lane pretty much insisted on being outside, right by his papa's side, doing work.

But, work is a lot more fun when you've got a sidekick - enter his Cousin Damian. D showed up later that afternoon - dressed for the job.

D loves to work too. In fact, as his mom put it, he's pretty much The Drucker in charge over at Specialize. He visits the warehouse almost every day to make sure his dad and grand daddy are doing their jobs and to get some work done.

When he showed up that afternoon, he decided him and Lane needed to leave the outside work on the camper to the big guys. They had more important work to do - like making sure all the lights work.

And jumping on the beds. Lane was more than happy to follow his lead.

And even though this is a post about those boys, I can't leave out our little girl - Miss Madelyn. She was there too. She didn't do any work. But, she did smile and laugh at those boys.

And look beautiful.

When all the work was done in the camper, D took Lane inside, where he showed him how grand daddy likes to have things moved around and how to handle the forklift.

Lane soaked up all the information - and made mental notes - just in case he has to work at Specialize one day. You know, he wants to be prepared.

As his mama, I don't mind what he does with his life when he grows up - works as a surveyor, like his papa, or works out at Specialize, like his uncle and pops. All that matters is that he is happy.

And goes to college first.
