The three amigos - Fall edition

It has been a while since you've seen The Three Amigos together. Don't think it is because they haven't been hanging out. Quite the opposite. These three are closer than ever - and I'm not sure what they would do without each other.

All of us mamas have to hear them talk about each other when they are apart. They came up with their own nicknames for each other. Lane named Andrea - Andrreella. Andrea named John - JuJu. And, Lane, well, he's just Lane.

And they have finally gotten to the stage where they don't just play around each other, they play with each other. Throwing balls. Chasing. Copy catting. Swinging. Talking.

In fact, we would love to know what they say to each other.

One thing we know for sure, Andrea does a lot of bossing.

Last week, after spending an afternoon at the park together, us mamas planned an impromptu, put together the night before trip to the pumpkin patch.

The patch was totally worth the trip, and I hope we will all find our way back again before Halloween.

There were swings and pumpkins and handsome little boys sporting their signature pirate look. Papa and I decided on a different costume for Lane last week, however, I'm beginning to think he might just have to be a pirate for Halloween.

We got to the patch and it pretty much cleared out so the babes had it to themselves to play.

And be big ole' goofs. I just can't say it enough. I love this babe. I think these two are so stinking cute.

And I know these mamas love their babes too.

Lane and I are lucky to have these four in our life. They keep us company. They make us laugh. And they help us make many fun memories.

Plus, they know how to have a good time at a pumpkin patch.

Ask Lane. Him and Paola went wild. And they didn't even drink any of the free cider.

All in all, it was a great day at the patch. Lots of great photos. Lots of laughs. A little pushing of the limits by this guy of mine.

But, that's to be expected. There was a lot to be excited about. Including real live versions of the farm animals he's been reading about each night before bed.

And a tractor - just like the farmer in his barn book.

And sugar cookies covered in frosting and sprinkles - courtesy of one pregnant mama who could not help herself.

And, of course, there were his two best friends.
