Oh-so-ordinary day

Today was a pretty ordinary day.

Lane woke up an hour earlier than usual. Papa went to work. We visited him at the office for afternoon snuggles and Chick-Fil-A.

Later, we took a trip to the market for Taco Tuesday ingredients.

Then we played outside.

While Lane napped, I did a little cleaning, some laundry and flipped through my magazines while sipping a Pepsi Throwback.
Papa came home. We strolled through the garden. Veggies are beginning to sprout.

We had tacos for dinner.
The boys played on the porch while I cleaned up the dinner dishes. Papa showed Lane the Bass Pro flyer that came in today's mail.

Lane got a little excited - like father, like son.

They threw the ball for the shorthair. Then threw the ball some more. And some more.

After the dishes were done and the floor swept, I joined the boys for a little while.
Even Mar took some time to hang with the family before we headed in for a tubbie.

Just a pretty ordinary day.
But in between these daily activities: playing, sweeping, cleaning and watching the pups run around the yard, there were some extraordinary moments.

I bet we all have them.

I am sure they have always been there.

It feels good to stop and look - for just a second - at the oh-so-extraordinary during an ordinary day.
