Brudders.
I've keep this picture of Lane in a frame in our entry way. It's one of my favorites - for many reasons.
I can remember the day I took that photo. I placed my six-month old babe in the corner of the couch, put that hat on his head and snapped away. When I was finished, I had this.
One of the cutest pictures I'd ever seen. I posted it on this here blog with a note to my friend Lanna to have a happy birthday.
Here's one of the great things about having two boys born in the same season - recycling clothes. With each little onesie, pajama and shirt pulled from the boxes for Evan to wear comes all the memories of Lane wearing that same piece.
Last week, with the weather warming up a bit and our chunky little monkey quickly outgrowing the three to six month old clothes, I thought I'd try this little short outfit on - just for giggles.
The tag reads six months but my three month old fits in it perfectly. So, I did what any mama would do. I placed my babe on the couch and snapped away. Coming out with this perfect picture of those chubby cheeks and thunder thighs.
Just when I thought things couldn't get any cuter, up on the couch climbed Lane, who asked to have his picture taken with his brudders.
Can it get any cuter than this?

Gooey goodness.
This is my son Evan. I think he is gorgeous - and delicious. He's got some chubby, chubby cheeks, which are perfect for kissing. Everyone who knows him thinks so.
Sometimes, Evan will wake up from his afternoon nap just a little early. On those days, he gets his mama all to himself because his older brother is still sleeping.
With him all to myself, we hang out upstairs and smile, coo and sing to each other. Then, I make him have the dreaded tummy time.
Usually, I'll take hundreds of pictures of him. And even though they all look the same, I always take more.
After about ten minutes of tummy time, Evan will start to get fussy. He's either tired or hungry from all that work.
Usually, he's hungry.
This is my son Evan, and as you can tell, he likes to eat.
And I like to dress him in stripes.

The Zoo.
Some of the best money I've spent so far in regards to Lane: a zoo pass. I got one last year on a deal 70 bucks for 14 months - and we have more than gotten our money's worth.
We like to go to the zoo with our besties. Pack a lunch. Throw some drinks in a bag. Fill up the stroller with snacks and spend a few hours hanging out with our favorite friends.
Since the zoo allows guests to bring in their own food, we spend very little - and sometimes nothing at all - when we go.
When Baby Gooey was growing in my belly, I'd buy some soft serve ice cream for the three of us. Now what excuse am I going to use?
We went last week and enjoyed one of Spring's first beautiful days. Lane didn't want to hang in his stroller so I kind of told him if he got out the animals would eat him.
Then I pulled him out to get our picture in front of the gorillas. To see a picture of Baby Lane in the same spot, click here.
Anyway, my threat of being eaten explains his face.
We hit up all the same spots when we visit the zoo. Sometimes we see the parakeets. We also start at the elephants, go to the lions, visit the bird house and then move on to the giant pandas.
The mamas really wanted to see the new baby. So sweet.
The kiddos love the pandas because of the stamps. As soon as we walk toward that exhibit, they know they are going to get stamps.
There's Gooey. He napped most of the day in the stroller. No stamps for him.
Lily played hard to get when it came to stamps. She acted like she didn't want any.
Oh, these two love birds. They come to see - and smooch - each other.
There's Lily getting her stamps. As Lane and Andrea walk away.
They love each other.
And Evan doesn't know it yet but he's going to be Lily's main squeeze. As soon as we pulled in the parking lot of the zoo, Lily started calling for Evan. She loves him.
All in all, a fun day at the zoo with our best friends and my two boys.
Hey, did you click that link above? That baby really was Lane. How did he get so big? And, can you believe how much my boys look like each other.
I love them.

Happy St. Patty's Day
Lane and I hosted a St. Patty's Day party for The Besties earlier this week.
Everyone came dressed in green.
And I made a special St. Patty's Day cake.
The kids loved it.
When Paola cut in to the cake and they saw the green layers,
Andrea screamed yeah and
Lane screamed ta da.
They all said wow!
The cake was a big hit-
even if it did look like it got hit by a tornado and
my husband said things like
I feel sad for you and your little cakes.
He pretty much ate his words once he came home and had a piece of it.
